87: Turkey Meatballs in Manchurian Sauce with Asian Noodles

Another one of my Turkey meatball recipes...:) I know... I eat a lot of turkey meatballs....they are easy to make and make for good dinners.....and I just love them....this is an Asian spin on spaghetti and meatballs....

For the Asian noodles,
Cooked egg noodles and stir fired the noodles with vegetables...
3 cups cooked egg noodles (cook in boiling water for 5 mins and strain under cold water)
3 Tbsp. seasame oil (or use oil and 2 tsp. seasame seeds)
1/2 cup green onions (spring onions) chopped
1 Tbsp. garlic finely chopped
1/2 cup carrots, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. Sriracha hot chilli sauce
1 tsp. Ajinomoto
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat oil in a wide non-stick pan. Add the garlic, green onions and saute for 2-3 mins. Add the soy sauce and stir for a minute. Add the carrots and stir on high heat for 2-3 mins. Add the cooked noodles and ajinomoto, salt, pepper and sriracha chili sauce and stir on medium heat for 5 minutes.

For the manchurian sauce,

2 Tbsp. garlic, finely chopped
1 Tbsp, ginger, finely chopped
1/2 cup green onions (spring onions) chopped
2 Tbsp. Sriracha hot chilli sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Ajinomoto
1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp. cornflour (mixed with water)
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, ginger and chopped spring onions. Saute for a minute and add soy sauce, chilli sauce, Ajinomoto and stir for 2 minutes.  Add water and sugar and bring to a boil. Add the cornflour water mixture and cook until the sauce starts to thicken. Add salt and pepper to taste. I lightly sauteed the pre-cooked turkey meatballs with chopped garlic before adding it to the manchurian sauce. You can always substitute the meatballs with fried chicken dumplings or vegetable dumplings.

It sure is a great alternative to spaghetti and meatballs! Enjoy!!
